    • April 2008 to September 2008 – SINTEZNEFTEGAZ NAMIBIA LIMITED

      BAY AIR AVIATION was contracted to Sintezneftegaz to provide all air transportation including fixed wing ( Beechcraft 1900 ) and helicopter services ( Puma 330J ) to support their exploration drilling campaign in the north of Namibia. Operations included construction of a mobile airbase in Opuwo and all associated logistics for international OGP standard flight operations.

      Routes operated: ERS-OPUWO-EROS (fixed wing – Beechcraft 1900) and OPUWO -“Deep Venture”- OPUWO  helicopter – Puma 330J)
    • November 2008 to January 2009 – WAVEFIELD INSEIS ASA

      BAY AIR AVIATION was contracted to Wavefield Inseis ASA to provide crew change solutions for their survey fleet offshore Namibia. Operations initially required BAY AIR AVIATION to operate fixed wing flights (Beechcraft 1900) between Windhoek Eros (FYWE) and Luderitz (FYLZ). At Luderitz passengers were transferred to awaiting helicopters for transportation to the survey vessels. BAY AIR AVIATION was responsible for all fixed wing operations as well as all handling and logistical components around the airbase in Luderitz.  Operations for Wavefield Inseis ASA then moved to the northern part of Namibia where BAY AIR AVIATION’s responsibility included constructing a mobile airbase, in Opuwo, as well as providing and managing a SAR (Search and Rescue) helicopter, a BO 105, during the remainder of the survey campaign.
    • December 2011 to January 2012 – PETROLEUM GEO-SERVICES

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to supply crew change solutions for a survey vessel from PGS while in Namibian waters. Together with STARLITE Aviation as the helicopter provider a helicopter (BELL 212) was been positioned in Walvis Bay (FYWB) for SAR and emergency evacuation duties. BAY AIR AVIATION was responsible for oversight of all flight operations during this project and managed all logistics around this service, furthermore BAY AIR AVIATION was contracted to supply ad-hoc fixed wing flights for the client.
    • December 2011 to March 2012 – POLARCUS ASIMA AS

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to supply crew change solutions for a survey vessel from Polarcus while in Namibian waters. Together with STARLITE Aviation as the helicopter provider a helicopter (BELL 212) was been positioned in Walvis Bay (FYWB) for SAR and emergency evacuation duties. In addition to the primary SAR and emergency services, crew change operations were also performed for POLARCUS ASIMA AS. These were conducted out of Cape Cross on the Namibian coast and this included setting up of a temporary airbase at Cape Cross. BAY AIR AVIATION was responsible for oversight of all flight operations and logistics, together with managing all ground operations during crew changes.
    • March 2012 to May 2012 – ENIGMA OIL & GAS EXPLORATION (PTY) LTD

      BAY AIR AVIATION was contracted to ENIGMA OIL & GAS EXPLORATION (PTY) LIMITED to provide all air transportation including fixed wing (Beechcraft 1900) and helicopter services (Puma 330J – primary helicopter, and a Bell 212 – secondary helicopter) to support their exploration drilling campaign in the north of Namibia. Operations included constructing a mobile airbase in Opuwo and all associated logistics for international OGP standard flight operations. Routes operated: EROS-OPUWO-EROS (fixed wing Beechcraft 1900) and OPUWO-“MAERSK DELIVERER”-OPUWO (Helicopter Puma 330J & Bell 212).
    • JULY 2012 to October 2012 – PETROBRAS NAMIBIA

      BAY AIR AVIATION was contracted by PETROBRAS NAMIBIA to provide fixed wing air transportation between Windhoek Eros (FYWE) and Luderitz (FYLZ) to support their exploration drilling campaign in the south of Namibia. In order to meet the standards and requirements of the client, BAY AIR AVIATION utilized 2 x Beechcraft 1900 for the fixed wing operations. CHC Canada in turn contracted BAY AIR AVIATION to handle and manage all logistics around the helicopter operations (2 x Sikorsy 76) for the operational base situated in Luderitz. The services to CHC Canada included, but were not limited to providing hangar and ground operations facilities, briefing and safety rooms, flight planning and flight operation hubs; crew transport and fleet management.
    • March 2013 to October 2013 – HRT PETROLEO AFRICA

      BAY AIR AVIATION was contracted by HRT Africa to provide fixed wing air transportation between Windhoek Eros (FYWE) and Walvis Bay (FYLZ), Windhoek Eros (FYWE) and Luderitz (FYLZ) to support their exploration drilling campaign in the south of Namibia. In order to meet the standards and requirements of the client, BAY AIR AVIATION utilized 2 x Beechcraft 1900 for the fixed wing operations. Starlite Aviation was contracted by BAY AIR AVIATION to handle and manage all logistics around the helicopter operations (2 x Bell 412) for the operational base situated in Walvis Bay and Luderitz. The services to Starlite included, but were not limited to, providing hangar and ground operations facilities, briefing and safety rooms, flight planning and flight operation hubs; crew transport and fleet management. Operation ended by November 2013.

    • September 2013 to July 2014 – REPSOL NAMIBIA

      BAY AIR AVIATION was contracted by Repsol Namibia to provide all air transportation including fixed wing (Beechcraft 1900) and helicopter services (2 x Bell 412EP) to support their exploration drilling campaign in the north of Namibia (Terrace Bay). Operations included construction of a mobile airbase in Terrace Bay, including upgrading of the existing runway, paving an area for movements and mobile hangar, plus all associated logistics for international OGP standard flight operations. Routes operated: EROS-TB-EROS (fixed wing Beechcraft 1900) and TB-RIG-TB. The services to Repsol Namibia included, but were not limited to, providing hangar and ground operations facilities, briefing and safety rooms, flight planning and flight operation hubs; crew transport and fleet management.

    • January 2014 to July 2014 – POLARCUS

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to supply crew change solutions for a survey vessel from Polarcus while in Namibian waters. The on signers were flown from Windhoek with a Beechcraft 1900 to Terrace Bay and flown to the Polarcus Asima in a Bell 412 EP. The Terrace Bay airbase was temporarily constructed and used in connection with the future Repsol Namibia campaign. Three crew changes with 32 passengers at one time were transported per day. As from May 2014 the Polarcus operations moved to Luderitz were BAY AIR AVIATION mobilized an AS 365N2 Dauphine to conduct crew changes for the Asima and Amani.

    • October 2014 to December 2014 – Petroleum Geo Services (PGS)

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to supply crew change solutions for a survey vessel from PGS while in Namibian waters. Together with STARLITE Aviation, as the helicopter provider, a helicopter (BELL 212) was been positioned in Terrace Bay for SAR and emergency evacuation duties. BAY AIR AVIATION was responsible for oversight of all flight operations during this project and managed all logistics around this service, furthermore BAY AIR AVIATION was also contracted to supply ad-hoc fixed wing flights for the client. For the crew exchange from Windhoek to Terrace Bay a Beechcraft 1900 was utilized and thereafter the transfer to the vessel with a B412 and B212, helicopters.

    • July 2016 to August 2016 – Moonlighting Film

      Bay Air Aviation was approached to supply foreign operating permits, aerial coordination and aircraft management for a filming project in the surroundings of Swakopmund. We were contracted to provide holistic logistics support of a C-130 Hercules aircraft, two Bell 212’s and one EC350. All these aircraft were paramount in the making of the movie. Furthermore we were involved/tasked to assist with the aircraft preparation (temporary paint), crew handling, fuel supply, aircraft dispatching, and coordination of the aircrafts in line with the requirements as requested by the unit director.

    • January 2018 to April 2018 – Petroleum Geo Services (PGS)

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to support STARLITE Aviation for the supply of HEMS for a survey vessel from PGS, while in Namibian waters. Together with STARLITE Aviation, as the helicopter provider, a helicopter (BELL 212) was positioned in Swakopmund for SAR and emergency evacuation duties. BAY AIR AVIATION was responsible for oversight of all flight operations during this project and managed/arranged all ground logistics around this service.

    • April 2018 – Atlatech / Nippon Salvage

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to attend to the rescue and salvage operation of the stricken vessel “Fukuseki Maru No. 7” which stranded north of Cape Cross. Bay Air Aviation leased one Bell 212 from Starlite Aviation with hoist and sling equipment. Priority was to evacuate the crew from the vessel and move them to shore. Due to the positioning of the vessel in relation to the reef and prevailing swell, the vessel was only accessible by air. It therefore made any other methods of salvage transport impossible. As a result the Helicopter operation lasted almost 5 weeks and aided in the removal of many waste products from the deck. The Helicopter logged more than 55 hours and an excess of 350 hoists were conducted with over 13 tons of various equipment been moved.

    • November 2018 – Namib Film

      Bay Air Aviation imported a BAE 146 fuselage on heavy lowbed transport from Gaborone to Walvis Bay and assisted with the incorporation of the aircraft into the footage. We further kept a charter standby with our MU2 to transport crew and cast to several locations within Namibia.

    • October 2019 – Hunt and Palmer

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to do the VIP Movements for the inauguration of a new Land Rover Model. We flew international celebrities and Management of Land Rover to Opuwo and assisted the Safari with fuel supply and Medevac Support

    • January 2020 – COWI

      BAY AIR AVIATION added a KingAir 90 on the AOC. COWI undertook a aerial survey within Namibia. We further supplied all ground support and permits.

    • October 2021 – Total Energies

      BAY AIR AVIATION in collaboration with Heli-Union was contracted to Total Energies to provide air transportation via heavy Helicopter SA332 to support their exploration drilling campaign offshore Luderitz. Operations included constructing a mobile airbase in Luderitz and all associated logistics for international OGP standard flight operations

    • December 2022 – PGS

      BAY AIR AVIATION was approached to deliver Helicopter Medevac Standby in Oranjemund for their Survey Operation offshore Namibia.

    • December 2022 – Shearwater

      BAY AIR AVIATION is operating ERJ-145 as well MU2 aircraft for the crew changes of Shearwaters Survey Operation offshore Luderitz. We also provide 24/7 Medevac Standby.

    • February 2023 – Namdeb

      BAY AIR AVIATION is operating a Cessna Citation 500 on behalf of Namdeb. The Namdeb owned aircraft is ungoing heavy maintenance until July 2023.
